Lauremont School invites applications for the role of Director of Development.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Community Development, the Director nurtures and champions major fundraising at the school and strengthens Lauremont’s culture of philanthropy. The Director will generate a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, develop personalized engagement strategies, and partner with the Head of School and the leadership team to advance major and capital campaigns. The Director also oversees annual giving and ensures that fundraising systems reflect best practices to acknowledge and engage with donors in a meaningful way.
The ideal candidate will be energized by the opportunity to build and shape a robust fundraising function within a vibrant school community. An experienced major gifts fundraiser, they bring a demonstrated ability to cultivate and steward meaningful relationships that inspire philanthropic support. Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on, the successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of annual and capital campaigns while helping to establish strong and enduring development practices. They will have a proven track record in fund development, campaign management, and community engagement, combined with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A collaborative and relationship-driven leader, they will thrive in a school environment where connection, trust, and community are central. Experience in an independent school setting and working closely with volunteers is an asset.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. The salary range is $140,000 to $180,000 plus a suite of competitive benefits. The new Director will assume the position as soon as possible.
