Guided by a vision of being the trusted energy partner empowering a sustainable and brighter future, Alectra is seeking an experienced leader to join its Board of Directors, someone whose governance expertise and regulatory knowledge will help shape the future of energy for the communities and customers it serves.

As one of 14 Directors, you will be responsible for setting Alectra’s strategic direction, providing oversight to operations while identifying, managing and monitoring key organizational risks. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of the statutory and fiduciary duties of a Director and a continuing commitment to act honestly, in good faith and in the best interests of the organization.

Alectra is seeking an Independent Board Director. The ideal candidate will bring senior executive or board-level experience in governance, regulatory, strategic human resources, and energy sector with a strong orientation to technology, innovation and digital transformation. They should also have experience chairing boards or committees and demonstrate sound judgment in navigating complex governance and regulatory matters. Specific to this appointment expertise is sought which would provide an individual with the capabilities to be considered as a potential Chair of the People & Safety Committee.

This Board meets at least six times a year and you will be expected to serve on two Board committees, for a total time commitment of approximately 20-25 meetings a year.

Given the communities Alectra serves and the current composition of the Board, applicants who live and/or work in Vaughan would be preferred.
