Hybrid

Our client is a national retailer that has just undergone a period of transition creating an opportunity to refine and strengthen how the organization engages its employees, customers, and external stakeholders. Operating at significant scale in a dynamic and often scrutinized sector, the business requires clear, consistent, and well-aligned communications to support its priorities and effectively manage risk.

President, Communications and Corporate Affairs (the “VP”) will play a key role in shaping this approach, serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership. This individual will help define messaging, align stakeholders, and ensure communications effectively support business objectives across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

This role calls for a leader who can bring both perspective and execution. Someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced setting, can navigate ambiguity, and is able to build strong relationships across the organization.

The VP is an experienced communications leader, ideally coming from a significant, publicly traded and complex organization, who brings strong judgment, credibility, and a practical approach to navigating a fast-paced environment. They are an exceptional writer and communicator, with the ability to distill nuanced issues into clear, compelling messaging aligned to leadership priorities.

This individual is highly collaborative and relationship-oriented, able to build trust quickly across senior stakeholders and functions. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, bringing perspective and calm in high-pressure situations, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. A strong understanding of how communications can support business objectives will be critical, as will the ability to lead and evolve a capable team.
