Executive Vice President, Finance & Investments, Options for Homes and Home Ownership Alternatives

Toronto, ON

Hybrid

Options for Homes and Home Ownership Alternatives are mission-driven housing organizations that combine social purpose with commercial real estate expertise. Together, they have enabled homeownership for more than 3,300 households, manage a $20 million shared-equity mortgage portfolio, and oversee a development pipeline of approximately one million square feet.

As one of Canada's largest non-profit multifamily developers, they create and finance high-quality housing for working households underserved by the traditional market

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Vice President, Finance & Investments will serve as the CEO's principal strategic and financial partner and play a central leadership role in the organization's continued growth and impact. The EVP will oversee finance, accounting, investments, and shared-equity mortgage functions while leading capital allocation, financing strategies, portfolio management, and financial governance. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the successful candidate will provide enterprise-wide leadership on investment decisions, development projects, partnerships, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate executive with deep expertise in finance, investments, and capital markets. Experience in real estate development, housing, infrastructure, lending, private capital, impact investing, or a related sector is sought. The successful candidate combines a proven track record of executing sophisticated transactions and capital strategies with strong leadership across finance, risk management, treasury, and governance functions. Equally important are the leadership capabilities to operate as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and external stakeholders while providing hands-on leadership within a growing, mission-focused organization. A CPA designation is strongly preferred but not required. Experience in non-profit housing or impact investing is considered an asset.
