The Role

Vesuvius is looking for an Account Manager – Sensors & Probes to manage and grow its customer base across Quebec, with the opportunity to expand into Eastern Ontario over time.


This is an individual contributor sales role focused on:

  • Managing and growing relationships with primarily steelmaking customers.
  • Developing new business and expanding the use of Vesuvius' Sensors & Probes portfolio.
  • Understanding customer processes and identifying appropriate technical solutions.
  • Coordinating product trials, projects and technical support.
  • Managing account plans, sales forecasts, pipeline and commercial negotiations.
  • Working closely with Vesuvius' technical, customer service and commercial teams.
  • Regularly visiting customer sites across Quebec and Eastern Ontario.


The role is remote-based in Quebec and reports to the US-based Sales Director, Sensors & Probes.


The Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, account management or business development within an industrial environment.
  • Experience selling technical products, equipment, consumables or industrial solutions.
  • Steel industry / steelmaking experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of the customer environment particularly valuable.
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills, with a track record of growing accounts and identifying new opportunities.
  • The ability to understand technical products and translate customer requirements into commercial solutions.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Engineering, metallurgy, materials science or a related technical background is an asset, but not essential.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario and spend time at customer sites.
