Lauremont School invites applications from student-centred and data-driven leaders for the role of Director of Guidance and University Counselling. The Director leads a comprehensive and future-focused program that supports the university guidance process and social and emotional counselling across the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes for approximately 340 students in Grades 7 to 12. Reporting to the Assistant Head and Head of Upper School, the Director oversees a dedicated team of counsellors to support students in becoming successful, informed, active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who make a difference in the world.
The ideal candidate will bring several years of educational experience with at least five years in a counselling capacity. Specific expertise in university advising and post-secondary planning is essential. Candidates should possess relevant educational qualifications, with a preference for those with graduate-level training. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, highly organized individual with well-developed project management skills. A track record of providing exceptional service and guidance to students and parents as they make critical decisions for their post-secondary pathway is required. A passion for developing others and helping them achieve their full potential will equip the Director for success.
