As General Manager, Academic, you will lead the global growth and success of Henry Schein One’s Academic Product portfolio. With full P&L accountability, you’ll drive revenue, profitability, and market share through innovative sales and marketing strategies, operational excellence, and customer success.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can explore international expansion opportunities, build and inspire cross-functional teams, and strengthen our partnerships across academic institutions, dental distributors, and global industry bodies. You will be responsible for ensuring Henry Schein One continues to set the standard for academic dental software worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global Academic Product portfolio, accountable for revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Achieve sales and growth targets through KPI-driven strategies.
  • Drive new business development, marketing initiatives, and market expansion.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service, onboarding, and technical support.
  • Cascade and align objectives and KPIs across all business functions.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture with strong engagement and recognition.
  • Collaborate with other Henry Schein organizations to unlock mutual growth opportunities.
  • Represent HSOne at industry associations and academic communities, building market leadership and influence.
  • Partner with global product/tech leaders to translate customer and market needs into scalable product innovation.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in SaaS, healthcare technology, or education technology.
  • Proven record of scaling businesses globally with direct P&L ownership.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen - revenue, growth, budgeting.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, Customer Success).
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and how they align to business outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Known for coaching leaders and developing talent while delivering results.
  • A growth mindset - curious, adaptive, and unwilling to settle for the status quo.

Compensation

  • The posted range for this position is CAD $220000 - CAD $250000, representing the expected starting base
  • salary for candidates from entry-level proficiency in the role through to highly experienced. Final offers will be
  • determined based on a combination of prior experience, skills, education, and market alignment.
  • Competitive compensation: base salary, performance bonus, and long-term incentives.
  • HSOne offers a 3% RRSP match but does not offer a retirement account.
