Director, Execution, Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation
Toronto or Ottawa, Ontario
Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corp. (CEEFC) is a subsidiary of Canada Development Investment Corp. (CDEV) established in 2020. Originally tasked with launching and administering the Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) program in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, CEEFS is now mandated to establish and administer the Large Employer Tariff Loan (LETL). CEEFC’s loan programs protect Canadian jobs and the Canadian economy by helping Canadian businesses remain solvent in times of significant economic shock. Loans provided under these programs are intended for otherwise viable large organizations that are unable to quickly access traditional sources of capital to manage and bridge liquidity needs through a period of significant economic uncertainty.
CEEFC is hiring a Director - Execution to join its nimble team of highly experienced professionals. The Director will work very closely with the CFO on the execution of LETL facility applications. As Director, Execution you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex financial initiatives that support Canada’s economic priorities. This position goes beyond coordination - it offers true leadership in shaping and executing transactions, overseeing advisors, and guiding projects from assessment through completion. You will manage financial analysis, due diligence, and research on sector trends, while ensuring senior stakeholders are informed and engaged. Beyond technical execution, you will represent CEEFC externally, build strategic networks, and mentor team members, all while driving rigorous project management and compliance. For a seasoned professional, this is an opportunity to combine analytical depth with influence across governance, risk, and national economic impact.
As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic finance leader with deep expertise across complex transactions, debt financing, and risk management. You combine strong analytical capability with the ability to build and interpret sophisticated financial models, while confidently advising senior stakeholders and boards. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing detail with big-picture thinking, and bring a proven track record of delivering results on major capital projects and portfolio management. You are adept at creating polished, insightful reports and presentations, leveraging advanced digital tools to drive decision-making. A collaborative mentor and team builder, you engage effectively at all levels and navigate diverse industries with agility.
The selected candidate will ideally be based in either Toronto or Ottawa, where CDEV offices currently have a hybrid work option. However, highly skilled and suitably experienced candidates based elsewhere in Canada may be considered as well.
