The Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC) is the Government of Alberta’s Crown commercial enterprise responsible for regulating gaming, liquor, and non-medical cannabis across the province. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will play a critical role in advancing the organization's strategic priorities through technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The CTO will lead the development and execution of an enterprise-wide technology strategy that enhances business performance, enables growth, strengthens operational effectiveness, and supports exceptional stakeholder experiences.
As a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive team, the CTO will align technology investments with business objectives, oversee enterprise technology platforms, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and modernize technology capabilities to position the organization for long-term success. Working closely with business leaders, the CTO will ensure technology serves as a strategic enabler, driving innovation, improving decision-making, and creating scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.
